Nowadays media is everywhere

Nowadays media is everywhere. It is an inseparable part of every teenager’s life. In the past newspaper we the media historically, however now cell phones and electronic devices have taken over all parts of communication. Teenagers depend on the social media as their sources of information everything is listed on their devices. They check the latest fashion trends, the newest cars on the market, the best places to eat or to find out what their favorite celebrity is up to. Media controls our minds like a PlayStation controller. Teenagers tend to use media for more than 4 hours a day. Many teenagers usually spend sleepless nights on social media without the knowledge of their parents. The distribution of sleep has had numerous effects on teenagers. It has led to cases of mood swings and an increase of obesity.
Studies have also shown that certain groups of teenagers are prone to violence because of media influence. Watching too much television further away from school work and homework risking them academically. Teenager often watches commercials that plant a seed of thought into their minds about what they have to buy and use as opposed to what they actually need.
Fashion magazines are also to blame for their glossy covers show-casing models with so-called perfect bodies that teenagers idolize and work towards, of course compromising on their health. Some social networking site is also used as a medium to bully other teenagers. Teenagers that have been bullied on such sites would feel depressed and would suffer from an emotional disorder. Television and cellphones also take up time form physical activities and family time. Media has also caused us to be more anti-social and hostile. How much media has affected us in our society is a negativity manner.
